The Language Technologies Unit has created a number of Welsh-language games. The Unit’s expertise in computational linguistics has been key to their development. The various games are described below.

Ieithgi

Ieithgi consists of six Welsh-language games produced for the BBC’s website. They include crosswords, hangman, guess the proverb, and a ‘Welsh places’ game. These are designed for fluent Welsh speakers.

RaW

RaW consists of a selection of simple Welsh-language games produced for the BBC’s website. These include a rugby-themed mutation game. They are aimed at consumers who are not confident writers of Welsh. (Games No. 1, 3, 5 and 7 only).
