Welsh Translation System

The Language Technology Unit has developed a unique on-line system to facilitate workflow management and translation for the use of Bangor University’s Translation Unit. Students and staff of Bangor University are able to submit translation work to the web-site by uploading documents. The administrator then supervises the distribution of the work to individual translators who are then able to translate segment by segment, using a dedicated web interface, and are presented with suggestions from translation memory, machine translation and glossaries, together with spelling and grammar checks from our own Cysill program. Translators can then return the translated documents directly to the person who originally commissioned the translation, within the system.
